Plain-English summary: the demo doesn't ask who you are and doesn't keep your data on our servers. We only use your location or microphone if you press the button that needs them.

What the demo does with your information

Demo data is fake and stays in your own browser (local storage). "Reset" clears it.
Location. If you allow it, your approximate position is used to look up nearby businesses. The search goes through our server to Google Maps Platform. We don't store your location. If you say no, the demo uses a pretend location.
Voice notes. If you record one, the audio is sent to be turned into text by an AI service on Cloudflare (Workers AI). We don't keep the recording. If the daily limit is reached, a sample result is shown instead.
Usage limits. We keep a daily count of lookups (not tied to you) so costs stay under control.
Technical logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

Cookies and tracking

The demo does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It uses your browser's local storage to remember the demo and that you accepted the terms.

Customer accounts

If your business uses TapIn at tapin.tidyops.co.nz, your business decides what is recorded. We handle that data to provide the service, protect it with the controls described to your administrator, and don't sell it.

Contact form and messages

If you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, company (if you add one) and your message. We use them only to reply to you. The message is emailed to us through Resend, our email provider, and stays in our inbox while we deal with your enquiry. If you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) handles the message under its own terms.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see or correct personal information we hold about you. Email hello@tidyops.co.nz. We'll respond within the legal timeframe.
