Terms of Use

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Plain-English summary: look around, try the demo, enjoy it. Don't copy it, take it apart, or use it to build a competing product. The demo uses made-up data, so please don't type in real customer details.

1. Who we are

TapIn is a product of TidyOps, operated by Chris Rodrigues from Auckland, New Zealand ("TidyOps", "we", "us"). By opening the demo, the website or the TapIn app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

2. What the demo is

The demo at demo.tidyops.co.nz and the sample screens on tidyops.co.nz let you try TapIn with fictional companies, people and visits. It is provided so you can evaluate TapIn for your own business. It is not the production service, and nothing you do in it is saved to a customer account.

3. Our intellectual property

All software, code, designs, text, screens, logos, the names TapIn and TidyOps, and the look and feel of the product belong to TidyOps or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws in New Zealand and internationally. No ownership passes to you. All rights not expressly given are reserved.

4. What you may do

You may use the demo and website for your personal or internal business evaluation of TapIn, and share the demo link with colleagues who are doing the same.

5. What you may not do

6. Customer accounts

If your business has a TapIn account at tapin.tidyops.co.nz, your use of it is also covered by the agreement we have with your business. You are responsible for keeping your PIN and any sign-in details private, and for what happens under them. Tell us straight away if you think they've been shared or lost.

7. Third-party services

TapIn uses third-party services such as Google Maps Platform (places and addresses), OpenStreetMap map tiles, Leaflet, and Cloudflare. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to those parts. Nearby-business results in the demo are provided by Google and may not be accurate.

8. No warranty

The demo and website are provided "as is" for evaluation. We don't promise they will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, we exclude liability for loss arising from their use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other laws that can't be excluded. If you are in business, you agree the Consumer Guarantees Act and sections 9, 12A and 13 of the Fair Trading Act 1986 do not apply to the demo, as the law allows between businesses.

9. Suspension

We may limit, change, suspend or remove the demo, or block access to anyone who breaks these terms, at any time.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use TapIn after a change means you accept it.

11. Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
